Hmm. Well, I assume you don't need to hear about how the night of goes, [He says this very dryly because. Heizou. You know damn well what happens.] but I suppose we largely make the day about each other. About us.

[Kaveh pauses, and laughs a little sheepishly.] I guess it doesn't sound much different than our daily lives, does it? But...it feels different. Knowing that the day is just for us.

[Obviously Kaveh can't see him, but the amused noise that Heizou makes in regard to their nighttime celebration is absolutely audible. Yes, he is well aware of what the two of them get up to. And frankly he knows way too much about it for someone who isn't involved in their relationship.

Still, the rest of it does make Heizou pause, more surprised than anything.]

Oh? There's no... gift giving or fancy dinner or anything like that? Just time together?

Maybe it's because we knew each other for so long first...

But it's easy. Sharing this space, sharing this home--all the different parts of us that make us individuals fit together neatly. Even the small things, like how to share the bathroom in the morning, it hardly needs any discussion.

Being with him--loving him--is as instinctual as breathing.

He'd be less grumpy if he'd review his biases. And he'd be more grumpy if my taste ended up aligning closely with his. I'm afraid there's just no winning with him, here.

But... I guess all I'm saying is that I don't mind if Alhaitham doesn't like me. I don't feel too strongly about it either way, and he seems to tolerate me, so I'm fine with that. There's no need for you to work so hard to change that. We don't have to be friends for me to be glad that you're happy together.
