Quarians are a race of people who, due to weakened immune systems, are unable to interact with any exterior environment. Even their own home planet. A single suit puncture, or a well placed cough, can be deadly.
That sounds like an incredibly difficult life to lead.
And Garrus didn't know that before interacting with this individual? He seems so much like the sort of person who would want to be informed about something like that.
Oh? I suppose I don't know Garrus well enough to have ever notice him being easily distracted. I would've expected him to be more vigilant while interacting with someone so potentially vulnerable.
