[Heizou's eyes linger on Lyney for a little longer, just taking note of the way he watches the image of his sister in the scryglass. He really can't even imagine how much it must hurt for him to be separated from her for as long as he has. But he can so perfectly picture this younger version of Lyney that he's talking about, just desperate to keep Lynette in his sights for fear of what could happen while they're apart. It makes Heizou rub at his boyfriend's arm reassuringly, right as he rests his head on his shoulder again to look at the scryglass once again.]

You're a good brother, Lyney. Even when you're forced apart, you're always thinking of your siblings. It's one of your finest traits, you know~

[He smiles softly, and there's something... sort of grateful in his eyes as he looks at Lynette. He's so glad that both she (in a manner of speaking) and Arlecchino prevented Lyney from getting a Delusion. Heizou is well aware of what they do to people. Even someone as strong as his dear magician.]

...I'd like to meet her one day. I hope she thinks I'm good enough for you.

Well, I just try my best… after all, family’s all we’ve had for the longest time. We don’t want to lose it.

[Lyney turns away from the scryglass to look more squarely at Heizou, and he smiles as he does. There’s that slow, adoring blink he does as well, a sign of how content he is.]

Oh, I’m sure she’d approve of you. Then again, I’m hard-pressed to find someone who wouldn’t be! After all, one as thoughtful and clever as you? How could anyone not adore you?

[Perhaps he’s laying it on a little thick, but he speaks the truth. Or at least what he believes is the truth.]

Ah, but look at me… I’m taking up so much time, aren’t I? I should let you have your time with your gift as well.

You do wonderfully, mon amour~

[He then meets Lyney's gaze with a chuckle, melting a little when he blinks at him like that. Heizou's sure that the magician has no idea he even does that, and it's one more secret he doesn't mind keeping to himself. He likes it, after all. So much. It makes him lean in to press a tiny, affectionate little kiss to the other's nose.]

I hope you're right! But I also think you might be just the tiniest bit biased, dearest.

[Not that he particularly minds. Especially not when Heizou might be a little biased when it comes to Lyney. His amazing magician, gentle and strong and perfect.

When he draws back he rests his head back on Lyney's shoulder and tries to snuggle in even more, practically laying his legs over the other's lap. He's not ready to give up how comfortable he is like this, warm and pressed into his boyfriend's side.]

Not yet! I wanna see a little more of Fontaine first. I'd like to see what the water looks like there... And where is the Opera Epiclese? You said you performed there, right? And that's where they hold trials?

[Honestly the jury's out on if Lyney even realizes he's doing it himself. It's such an unconscious thing, it's very possible that he doesn't realize he's doing it. It's why when Heizou kisses his nose, it comes as a bit of a surprise for him. Still, he chuckles and grins softly at Heizou.]

Even so, if she does have any problems with you, I can help you to get on her good side.

[Though honestly, so long as Heizou doesn't hurt Lyney or betray him in any way, Lyney sees no reason why Lynette wouldn't approve of him. Lyney welcomes Heizou into his lap, cuddling him close before turning back to the scryglass.]

Alright, alright. Yes, the Opera Epiclese is where I perform, and where trials are held... would you like to see it first, or the water?

[He can't help but chuckle a little. Heizou knows Lyney would go to bat for him, but it's always nice to hear that confirmation for himself. Sometimes it's a little alarming to think about how easily Lyney could destroy him now that he's put so much trust in him, but... He's not sure he'd want it any other way. It's nice to finally feel like he has a place to belong with someone.

And the cuddles are so, so nice. They make him feel so relaxed.]

The Opera Eplicese~ I've always wondered what a trial in the great nation of justice might look like~

[Likewise, Heizou has become one of the few people who've slipped passed Lyney's many walls and wormed his way into his heart. He could easily tear him apart brick by brick, destroy him so thoroughly Lyney could never recover. It's terrifying how much trust he's put in Heizou... but it's also so nice, having someone else who's become so close, so dear. It's terrifying, but also liberating in a way.]

[He chuckles, nodding.]

Very well then! To the Opera Epiclese, then!

[Though he does still hover on the image before him, of the House of the Hearth. He takes in the image for a few more seconds before taking a breath, closing his eyes and focusing. The image fades into fog, before refocusing onto another image; a grand-looking building, fountains shooting up water in a rhythmic way in front of a large, elegant-looking fountain.]

[He gives Lyney an affectionate little squeeze as he gazes at the House of the Hearth for that extra moment. There's no rush, and Heizou knows perhaps better than most how much it means to him to be able to see his home again. His family. His siblings. Especially Lynette.

As the image fades from one into the other, though, Heizou can hardly keep himself from gasping at the sight of the Opera Epiclese. He's only heard of the place from the odd passing traveler, and there are really only a few Fontainians who've come to explore Inazuma in recent years. So getting to see just how impressive the place really is... It's downright amazing. His eyes go big and bright as he stares at the image in awe.]

Lyney... It's huge! No wonder they can hold trials and theater performances all in one building!

[Indeed, it means so much to be able to get even a small glimpse back home. He'll definitely look at it later, and whenever he needs that reminder of home.]

[Seeing Heizou's eyes go so big as he stares at the Opera Epiclese makes Lyney chuckle, his grin returning.]

It's quite grand, is it not? I actually performed here a few times.

[He points to the spot near the top of the building.]

Right there is where I performed a magic box trick, actually. I had one of my magic boxes suspended there, above the crowd, and then the bottom fell out right from under me.

[Heizou follows where Lyney is pointing, staring at the great height of the building in wonder. He can almost imagine what it must have looked like, to be part of a crowd watching Lyney's trick from the ground. It does make him wish he could see more of Lyney's magic in person, to see how much brighter he glows on a stage in front of a cheering crowd as opposed to the up close tricks he performs just to impress his friends.]

That sounds incredible... I wish I could've seen it for myself~

[His amazing magician. Sometimes he feels like he gets a little more impressed with Lyney everyday. And honestly he has no idea how that's even possible when he's already so enamored with him.]

Didn't you say you wanted to build a theater out of a ship here? So you could start up a traveling magic show?

It truly was. Hmm... I wonder if there's a way to show a specific memory...

[He'll have to try it for himself later, see if he can recall the memory of his trick. But before he can ponder it further, he blinks up at Heizou.]

Ah... well, I did, once upon a time. And I do still think of it, you know. But given that Freminet, Father and I are now a part of the Avalanche crew, and how helpful they've been... well, part of me wonders if it's something I should still strive for, especially since they have their own ship now. Or perhaps if I should create my own theatre of sorts... but I'm not sure. A lot's happened between then and now...

[It seems he's actually a little unsure nowadays as to if he should keep up that little dream of his. He offers a small smile, his eyes slowly blinking once.]

Besides... I didn't have someone who'd miss me if I travelled on a ship all the time.

[Heizou watches him talk through his thoughts, genuinely interested to know how Lyney's thoughts have changed over time. And when the magician does that slow blink at him, smiling at him like that in a way that makes Heizou melt inside, he can't help but blush. The little smile is returned, and Heizou leans over to press a happy kiss to his cheek.]

I would miss you. Terribly. But I could always go with you on your tours, so then I wouldn't have to! In the end it's up to you, mon couer. I'd just hate to see you give up on something you want to do.

[He brushes some hair from Lyney's eyes affectionately, his smile growing a bit.]

Wherever you perform, though, I wanna be there to see it. Right in the front row, where I can see you glow~

[Oh, he loves how Heizou's presence, his support, just makes Lyney's heart swell with pride. His dear detective truly cared about him, didn't he? He leans into that kiss, a thoughtful look crossing his face.]

Well, perhaps it's something I could revisit sometime. Perhaps... rather than a ship, I would simply have to make a theatre. It would certainly be easier to plan certain tricks...

[Hmm... it's something to ponder, for sure.]

But of course, you'd be front row and centre. In fact, I would reserve a spot just for you~

And I'd be at every single show.

[He doesn't even think about it, probably because he's already so attuned to Lyney's mannerisms; Heizou gives him a warm look and blinks slowly at him. He's always been weak for people who pour all of themselves into their passions, for strong shows of emotion and feeling. It's something he works hard to protect in others, always wanting to foster in a world where everyone is free to do so without fear or danger. That's why it's no different for Lyney. Or maybe that desire is tenfold when it comes to Lyney.]

Maybe you can ask Kaveh about designing a theater. I'm sure he'd enjoy a project like that, don't you think?

[It's a small little thing, but that warm look and blink makes Lyney's own eyes widen briefly. Did Heizou even realize what he did? Either way, his expression grows incredibly fond, and he can't help but lean in and give Heizou a warm kiss, full of love and affection. Again he wonders just what it is he's done to earn the heart of this wonderful man beside him.]

I think that would be wonderful. I'll have to remember to ask him.

[He glances down, and realizes that the scene has changed again. This time it's of the interior of the Opera Epiclese, showing off the fancy interior of the opera house.]

[The kiss surprises him, in part because no, he didn't quite know exactly what he'd done. Lyney does it so unconsciously after all, and maybe that's rubbed off on Heizou a little, and maybe that's why it takes him a brief moment of mentally rewinding what just happened before he understands. Still, the warmth and love reaches Heizou with ease, and he hums into the kiss like it's the most natural thing in the world.

For him, maybe it is.

His eyes drop back to the scryglass when Lyney's does, leaning his head against him even as an excited expression crosses his face.]

Is that the inside?? Man alive, it's even bigger than I thought from looking at the outside...

[Seeing Heizou's excitement swell, it makes Lyney chuckle. Of course he'd get excited to see the fabled opera house that doubles as the nation's court room.]

Indeed it does! With enough seats to house a sizeable portion of the Court of Fontiane, should it be necessary. And it also makes for a wonderful stage; I should know, for I've performed on it a few times now.

[He beams, letting his imagination run a little bit. Picturing Lyney up on that stage with his sister, all lights on him, tipping his hat and bowing with a flourish. He can practically hear the cheering and applause from the audience. It kind of fills him with pride to think that his magician is so accomplished to perform in the Opera Epiclese. Even as it also makes him jealous of everyone who's gotten to see him there in person.]

I can see it~ You must be radiant up there, under the spotlight, enjoying having everyone's attention on you. We'll have to tell Kaveh to make your theater just as extravagant as this one!

Indeed, it is. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it...

[The lights, the spectacle, the ability to perform impressive feats... he misses it. A longing look forms on his face.]

Perhaps, one day... Maybe I could make something here.

[Heizou smiles warmly, idly nuzzling his cheek against Lyney's shoulder. The longing in his voice is palpable, and Heizou doesn't have to see the look on his face to know how deeply the sentiment runs.]

I'll help. And we'll get Kaveh to help. I'm sure we could make this happen quicker than you think, mon couer~

[The light nuzzle makes Lyney chuckle, and the words of encouragement warm his heart. He nuzzles back, angling his head just enough to kiss Heizou's nose.]

I'm glad to have your support, mon amour~. I'm sure between the two of us, we'll make something to rival even the Opera Epiclese itself!

[That kiss also gets another little giggle out of Heizou, always pleased with their constant little shows of affection. As if they're not constantly wrapped around one another in some way and need to keep reminding each other that they're together, that their feelings run deep, that they find happiness in the other's arms. And really if they keep this up, Heizou just might drop the conversation in favor of... something else. If Lyney's hoping to see anything out of Heizou's scryglass, he might need to act fast.]

What's important to you is important to me. We can make this dream of yours come true together~

[Lyney hums happily, leaning into Heizou's space. Once again he finds himself wondering just what he's done to earn such a love in his life. Such dedication and support... it's addicting, yet he doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize this. Heizou is precious to him, and he will be sure to keep that light close.]

Ah, but we haven't finished yet. Did you not want to show me your homeland as well?

[Heizou hums right back, letting their noses brush together for a little moment longer. He just likes this closeness. And he's quietly deciding to himself that no matter how long it takes to get Lyney what he wants, he'll always be at his side to provide a home for him.]

I do~ But you should tell me if there's anything specific you wanna see, too.

[Lyney lets out a small hum, thinking it over before smiling.]

Well, you’ve seen the Court of Fontaine. How about you let me see this famed Inazuma City?

[He smiles warmly at that, chuckling just a bit.]

That seems only fair~

[But he steals one quick little kiss to Lyney's lips before he draws back, pulling out his own scryglass and resettling himself against his boyfriend's side. Following the instructions from earlier it doesn't take long for an image to appear before them. And just like that, they appear to be walking down narrow stone streets lined with large, but simple buildings of wood and paper windows, fences covered in flowers and ivy, sakura trees in full bloom at practically every other corner. The blossoms rain down gently all around them, collecting on the rooftops and all along the sides of the street where fewer people have stepped, dotting the cold shades of stone in shades of warm pink everywhere they go.

Heizou takes Lyney on a little tour of the city he'd been living in for so long, showing him his favorite places to get ramen and katsu, where to find the street vendors with the most interesting snacks, spots he likes to retreat to when he's escaping the stuffiness of the police station. He even shows him the detective agency that he used to work at, that he'd founded with Bantan Sango years ago. It's a pretty unassuming little building, situated by the stream that cuts through the city, and Heizou can't help but chuckle a little when he sees it again. He'll get around to the station eventually, but... the agency does have him pausing for a moment out of nostalgia.]
